In 1895 a young entrepreneur named Luigi Lavazza opened a grocer's shop in Turin, Italy. From the beginning Lavazza coffee was a drink imbued with prestige. Lavazza roasted his won brand with the fine attention to detail that is the hallmark of Italian craftsmanship, from signature trend-setting auto works, to the fashion houses of Milan, to the famous Italian food, wine and, of course...espresso. The fourth-generation of the Lavazza family continues to uphold the tradition of innovation and old-world Italian craftsmanship that has made their coffee famous. With Lavazza's ongoing development of exciting new coffee blends and brewing methods, the company continues to expand the borders of international coffee culture.
